Empowering Growth: Elexon Group Enters a New Era of Focus and Specialisation

Elexon is entering a new chapter built on the strong foundation of operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. This transformation was made possible thanks to the visionary leadership of Frank Faller, who has stepped down after 12 years as CEO of Elexon Electronics to pursue his next career chapter.

Frank’s legacy lives on in the systems, culture, and values he helped embed across the group. Elexon2Zero continuous improvement program, launched under his leadership, remains our guiding framework, driving our ongoing focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

As we move forward, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Whittaker as General Manager of Elexon Electronics. Chris has been a valued member of the Elexon Group since 2020, serving as General Manager of Elexon Mining and, most recently, working closely with Frank on major Elexon Electronics initiatives.

With this leadership change comes a timely and strategic evolution of the group structure. Elexon Electronics and Elexon Mining will now operate as fully independent businesses—two sister companies with distinct strengths, goals, and customer bases.

A Natural Progression: Honouring Growth and Specialisation

Elexon Mining has experienced significant growth in recent years. Through the development of new technologies and innovative product lines, it has successfully expanded into global markets. Our geo-technical solutions, such as CaveTracker and Geo4Sight, are unique in the market and require tailored manufacturing processes and specialist expertise.

To fully support this trajectory, Elexon Mining will now focus exclusively on its own product development and manufacturing, building the operational systems it needs to continue evolving and delivering value to its global mining customers.

At the same time, Elexon Electronics will continue to advance its expertise in high-precision, low-volume manufacturing across defence, aerospace, agritech, IoT, and sensor technologies. This separation creates space for deeper specialisation, improved internal systems, and renewed focus on innovation and customer service.

By shifting the two businesses further apart structurally, we are enabling each to grow stronger and more independently—aligned with their respective markets, technologies, and long-term goals.

Looking Ahead

This is more than a restructure. It is a strategic step forward for the Elexon Group, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement, operational clarity, and sustainable progress.

We are confident that this move will allow both Elexon Electronics and Elexon Mining to build on their existing strengths, respond more effectively to market opportunities, and deliver even greater value to customers and partners.

To all our stakeholders, we thank you for your continued trust and support as we embark on this next phase of growth.
