Merry Christmas from Elexon Electronics
/in Uncategorized /by Sandra SimpsonAs 2022 comes to a close, we would like to thank you for your business and support over the past year. As our industry is recovering from the pandemic, recent months presented many new challenges, especially with labour supply and materials shortages.
We have worked closely with you, our customers and partners, to navigate these challenges, plan early and produce many successful products.
This year we have extended our manufacturing facility and upscaled our quality management system by achieving aerospace industry quality level in design and manufacture. We focused on sustainability in the electronics industry and environmental impact minimization is one of our goals for the next years. By developing our capability want to become a better partner to supporting your projects.
It seems that after this difficult year, the supply chain started slowly improving but there is still a long way to go. Like last year, we ask you to help overcome shortages and disruptions by providing us with your 12 months forecast. It will allow us to purchase components with long lead times and inform you of any possible delays.
We understand that committing to forecasts can have operational and financial consequences. But it is the only way how we can address issues such as supply shortages, inventory placement challenges, and reduced productivity.
We would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and we look forward to working with you in the new year.
Frank Faller, Elexon Electronics CEO
PS: Our office will be closed from 19th December 2022 and will re-open with all hands on deck from Monday 9th January 2023 (limited staff operating from 3rd January 2023).
Elexon Mining is the winner of the Moreton Bay Region Exporting Excellence Award
/in Uncategorized /by Sandra SimpsonCongratulations our sister company Elexon Mining on winning the Moreton Bay Region Exporting Excellence Award 2022 sponsored by the the Solar Bollard Lighting!!!
Elexon Mining is a world leader in wireless in-ground geotechnical monitoring systems providing real-time insight into ground movement, cave monitoring and ore flow. Elexon Mining’s systems provide invaluable data that empowers mining companies to make well founded decisions to improve safety, efficiency and resource conversion.
Managing Director at Elexon Group of Companies Pieter Kuiper said the win was great recognition for his team. “We couldn’t win this without the fantastic team that we have,” Pieter said.
Since forming in 2006, Elexon Mining has worked collaboratively with some of the industry’s leading research organisations and mine companies with systems now deployed across the globe including in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, South Africa, Chile, Sweden and the United States.
“We can make electronic products that go into the ground and be 60cms away from the explosives that are shattering rock, one kilometre under the ground, and our products survive that and communicate wirelessly through the ground and tell people what is going on.
“At the moment we are actually developing a whole new generation of our product that is going to be even better suited to open pits and tailings dams.”
This award recognises a business in the Moreton Bay Region that has exemplified excellence in exporting and outstanding performance in building trade between Moreton Bay and global export markets, in any industry or sector, over the past 24 months.

Titley Showcases Bat Technology in USA
/in Uncategorized /by Sandra SimpsonOur sister company Titley Scientific showcased its range of world-class bat monitoring technology in the USA, at the 19th International Bat Research Conference in the bat capital of the America – Austin, Texas.
Why is Austin the bat capital of the USA, we hear you ask?
Downtown Austin has up to 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats (Tadarida Brasiliensis) that roost in the Congress Avenue bridge during summer.
Every evening crowds gather to watch the spectacle of the bats flying out to forage for insects. What better place for a bat research event!
“The event is held every 3 years, and it was the first major in-person conference we have been able to attend post-Covid,” said Titley CEO, Dean Thompson.
This year there were nearly 600 attendees from around the globe, made up of bat researchers, consultants, and even some bat enthusiasts.
Titley was represented by Dean and Kristen from the Australian office, as well as Chris and Kim from Titley USA.
“In addition to the exhibitor stand, Titley also presented a workshop on our current product range and an introductory lesson on using our Insight software for bat call analysis,” said Dean.
“We had good traffic at our stand over the course of the 5-day event. We spoke with many existing customers who were pleased with our products as well as potential new customers.
“Of course, we were also showing off our latest new product – the Chorus! We enjoyed catching up with many of the conference regulars, who we have missed during the past years of Covid.”
Being in the USA, there was a strong presence of US-based researchers and ecologists at this conference.
“North America is one of Titley’s largest markets so it’s imperative that we have a strong presence there. We have distributors in USA and Canada to cover this important region and are working to strengthen our presence further by building a larger marketing and sales team in the coming year,” said Dean.
Biomark was also present at the conference, where they were displaying some bat-specific RFID tagging tools and antenna systems along with their HPR-lite reader.
It’s great to see Titley flying the flag globally, and that ariel bat performance each night must have been a sensational rush!
