Elexon Electronics signs first Rheinmetall DEAL!

After two arduous but highly rewarding years, filled with intensive preparation to become a defence supplier, Elexon Electronics has been awarded its first contract with Rheinmetall Defence Australia.

Through Land 400 Phase 2, Rheinmetall Defence aims to provide ‘armoured survivability, mobility and lethality’ to the Australian Army’s mounted combat reconnaissance capability.

LAND 400 Phase 2 will provide the Army with 211 Boxer combat reconnaissance vehicles, which Rheinmetall will assemble at their facility in south-east Queensland.

Elexon’s initial work on this project is the delivery of Power Supply PCA ZS8000G245 units. Delivery of the first Article Inspection Samples is scheduled for 1st November, but due to component shortages the whole project is spread over a period of 7 months.

Elexon Electronics is supplying the Land 400 Phase 2 project via multiple partners. Enclustra, one of the European Rheinmetall partners, engaged Elexon in the manufacturing of their complex boards for the same project. Through our recently acquired partnership with Supashock, an Adelaide based company, Elexon will also supply Land 400 Phase 2 with 3 assemblies for Anti-Tank guided missile ATV and
a Turret controller.

In light of recent events in Ukraine and China’s enormous military build-up, there is growing concern that Australia needs to prepare for a war with a major power. Elexon is proud to be part of the process and support our national sovereignty.
